On the manual are listed all the following advises:
WARNING: Indicates all the unsafe operations that can cause minor injury to persons,
damages to the lift, the vehicle or other properties.
CAUTION: Indicates a possible danger that can cause serious injury to persons and
damages to properties.
ELECTRIC SHOCK RISK: A specific safety advice on the lift, in areas where the risk of
electrical shocks is particularly high.
RISKS AND PROTECTION DEVICES:
We will now look at the risks to which operators and maintenance personnel can be
exposed when the vehicle is in position on the lift, along with the various safety and
protection devicese used by the manufacturer to minimized such hazards.
For better personal/vehicles safetey , observe the following rules:
- Do not enter the danger zone when the vehicle is lifted (figure 6).
- Make sure that the vehicle engine is off and that the gear and the handbrake are engaged.
- Make sure the vehicle is positioned correctly (figure 7).
- Make sure to lift only allowed vehicles, never exceed the maximum lifting capacity, the
maximum height and the projection (vehicle length and width).
- Make sure no one is on the platform during lifting and lowering movements and during
the standing of the vehicles on the platforms, especially at its maximum height.
GENERAL RISK OF LIFTING AND LOWERING PHASES:
To protect from situations of overloading and to avoid engine failures the following safety
devices are used:
- In the case of overloading, the safety valve opens and return the oil directly to its tank
(figure 8).
- In the case of breakages of the oil pipes along the hydraulic circuit, or when the steel
cable has been damaged, the security device will activate to reduce the lowering speed
of the platforms (figure9).
The safety levers are devices that, in the case of failures of other protections , guarantee
the security of the personnel working under the platforms.
Make sure of the integrity of the transmission module and that the safety levers are
complitely free of obstacles.
