WHAT IS ESPRESSO ?
Espresso originated in Italy. It is made by forcing out
a small amount of nearly boiling water under pressure
through finely ground coffee beans. It is known as a
shot and is intense in flavour.
1. Lift the water tank from the appliance.
2. Fill the water tank with fresh cold water between the MAX and MIN level
lines.
3. Close the water tank cover and place it back in the appliance ensuring it fits
tightly.
4. Place the 1 or 2 cup filter into the filter holder depending on how many
shots of espresso you would like.
5. Fill the filter with fresh, fine ground espresso coffee (do not overfill).

BREWING ESPRESSO
2-cup filter
1. Use the measuring spoon to measure
ground espresso coffee and add to the
filter holder.
• For one cup, fill the filter with a level
measure of coffee (approx. 7g).
• For two cups, fill the filter with two
level measures of coffee.
2. Use the flat side of the measuring spoon to
tamp down the coffee evenly.
• To obtain a strong coffee, tamp down
the coffee firmly.
• To obtain a lighter coffee, tamp down
the coffee gently.
