Section 2 Precautions for hazardous location installation
Only qualified personnel should conduct the installation tasks described in this section of the manual. This
equipment is suitable for use in Class 1, Division 2, Groups A, B, C & D Hazardous Locations with specified
sensors and options appropriately certified and rated for Class I, Division 2, Group A, B, C & D , Zone 2, Group
IIC Hazardous Locations. Always refer to applicable electrical code regulations for proper installation. Wiring
methods must be in accordance with National Electrical Code
Electrical Code, Part I (CE Code, Part I) CSA C22.1.
Section 3 Wiring for power
Explosion hazard. Do not connect or disconnect electrical components or circuits to the equipment
unless power has been switched off or the area is known to be non-hazardous.
