Starting the motor
WARNING! Danger of fire! The product
may catch fire as a result of spilt fuel. Wipe
any spilled fuel away before starting.
Start the product at least nine metres from
the place you filled it.
WARNING! Risk of injury! The product
must be resting calmly and securely to
start. You must be able to hold it securely
with one hand without the blade head
coming into contact with anything. The
blade will operate when it is started!
Note: This will protect both the starter
cord and the motor. Pull the starter cord
out to a maximum of 50 cm and feed back
in slowly by hand.
– Place the product down on flat, clear ground so
that the motor (1) and the protective hood (9/10)
are on the ground.

– Set the ignition switch (25) to START.
– Press the fuel pump (17) several times until no
bubbles can be seen (approximately 10 times).
– Pull the cold start lever (14) all the way up

– Set the gas lever (23) to the half setting: Push
down and hold the gas lever block (24) and the
gas lever (23) at the same time. Press the gas
lever lock (22), then release the gas lever (23)
and gas lever lock (22). The gas lever block (24)
must engage!
– Using the left hand, hold the product on the
upper shaft pipe (4).

– Pull the starter cord (20) out slowly until you feel
resistance, than continue to pull quickly and
forcefully until the motor starts briefly.
Note: If the cold start lever is set to cold
start
:
Only pull the starter cord until the first
sound of ignition is heard. Otherwise there
is a risk that too much fuel will enter the
combustion chamber and it will not be
possible for a spark to develop.

– Set the cold start lever (14) to the middle
position

– Pull the starter cord (20) out quickly forcefully
until the motor starts.
– When the motor is running, slowly return the cold
start lever (14) to

starting for the gas lever lock to be
unlocked and the motor to be switched to
idle revolutions and ensure the blade is
not rotating in idle.
The blade may not rotate in idle, if
necessary, have idle gas adjusted.

– Slowly press the gas lever (23) to increase the
revolutions of the motor and allow the motor to
operate for a time at full speed operation.

– To start up a warm motor, do not use the cold
start lever (14) (lower position
– If the engine does not start after you have pulled
the starter cord three times (20), repeat the
entire starting process as described under "Cold
starting".

– Set the ignition switch (25) on the operating han-
dle to STOP.
The motor will switch off.
Operation
Prior to using the product, ensure that you are famil-
iar with the technology. Information can be found in
the technical literature. The information provided
here are only to be used as guidelines.

• The blade has come into contact with
hard objects,
• Changes in the behaviour of the
device can be felt,
• The sound of the motor changes.
Have the device checked and, if neces-
sary, repaired. Never work with a dam-
aged device or cutting tool.
