4. Contraindications:
• Severe protrusion and overcrowding in the lower anterior region
with inadequate gingiva quality.
• Poor oral hygiene.
• Degenerative disorders of the temporomandibular joint.
• Periodontally damaged dentition.
5. Application of the SUS
The SUS³ is supplied with a slightly preloaded inner spring. The
preload is approx. 0.4 N. The complete spring travel of the SUS³
is 8.5 mm. At full compression, this represents a force of approx.
3.8 N (without SUS³ turbo spring) and a force of approx. 5.8 N
(with SUS³ turbo spring).
5.1. Insert the SUS³ ball retainer clasp distally through the eyelet of
the SUS³ telescope element (fig. 2).
