Warning: This vehicle is equipped with a Supplemental Inflatable Restraint (SIR) System. Failure to follow the correct procedure
could cause the Air bag deployment, personal injury, and/or unnecessary SIR system repairs
1. Disable SIR system by disconnecting the neg. battery cable.
2. Disconnect the seat belt from the seat by removing Cover and Front Seat Belt Anchor Plate Bolt (Torx Head Bolt T-27).
3. Adjust the seat to the full forward position and remove the rear bolts (Torx Head Bolt T-50, see picture above, Qty 2).
4. Disconnect the front seat electrical connector.
5. With the aid of an assistant, remove the front seat by tilting it forward and lifting, then pull seat rearward to disengage the
front hooks.
6. Replace with new seat, reconnect connector, torque rear bolts to 45 Nm (33 lb ft), torque Seat Belt Anchor Plate/Bolt to 6 Nm
(53 lb in) and re-install cover, re-connect negative battery cable.
7. MEMORY SEAT ONLY: Reprogram Front Seat Memory Control Module (No call to TCSC or VCI required). Reprogramming
of the Memory seat control module will be done at the dealership at no cost to the customer.
Warranty Information: To maintain vehicle warranty both driver AND passenger RECARO seats must installed by an authorized
GM dealer. Seats must match the original vehicle configuration (i.e. RECARO Memory seats should be installed in Camaro with
Memory seat option). Further, these RECARO seats are ONLY to be installed on 2016+ Camaro Coupe and Convertible vehicles
and are NOT compatible other vehicle models.
