IF THE AIR AND COATING SUBSTANCE CONNECTI-
ONS ARE INTERCHANGED, THIS CAN IRREPARABLY
DAMAGE THE GUN!
ONLY USE HOSES WHICH CAN RELIABLY WITH-
STAND THE PRESSURES AND MECHANICAL AND
CHEMICAL LOADS DURING OPERATION!
Switch on compressed air feed
If applicable, switch on pump or pressure
container for coating substance

SPRAY PROFILE ADJUSTMENT

i
A wide range of air and material nozzles in various
sizes are available to perform widely differing coating
tasks. There are four different nozzle families:
Circular jet (conical jet in front of the nozzle)
Flat jet (width-adjustable jet for flat-shaped application. If
the flat jet regulator (14) is closed, a circular jet is produ-
ced
Rotary jet (a rotary pulse produces a highly "swirled"
spray jet; for difficult workpiece geometries (curves
around angular sections etc.)
Full-cone rotary jet (swirling spray jet created by a speci-
al rotary pulse; for difficult workpiece geometries (under-
cuts etc.))
How to adjust the spray profile:
Regulate the atomiser air pressure
Regulate the coating substance pressure
(only if substance is fed via pump or pres-
sure container)
Adjust the needle stroke adjuster screw (N)
on the gun
Adjust the width of the spray jet via the flat
jet regulator (R) (only with flat jet nozzles)

Choosing the suitable
nozzle size
i
Excessive air pressure not only leads to unnecessari-
ly high air consumption but also generates heavy
misting of the coating substance. It is advisable to first
adjust the spray profile by varying the air and coating
material. If this does not produce a satisfactory profile,
you should experiment with different nozzle sizes.
OPERATIONAL INTERRUPTIONS,
CLEANING
ALWAYS ADHERE TO THE INSTRUCTIONS IN THE
SAFETY DATA SHEET OF THE DETERGENT MANU-
FACTURER. DETERGENTS CAN BE HARMFUL TO
HEALTH AND EASILY FLAMMABLE!
THE SPRAY GUN SHOULD NEVER BE COMPLETELY
IMMERSED IN DETERGENT! THIS COULD DESTROY
THE GASKETS AND RINSE OUT THE LUBRICANT!
DO NOT USE ACIDIC OR ALKALINE MATERIALS
AND/OR DETERGENTS WHEN CLEANING FLOW
CUPS MADE OF ALUMINIUM! DO NOT CLEAN PLA-
STIC CUPS USING HIGHLY SOLVENT DETERGENTS.
The spraying process is terminated by
releasing the trigger
Interrupt feed of coating substance (empty
flow cup, unscrew suction cup, switch off
pump or pressure container)
Clean spray gun (in place of the coating
substance, spray a suitable detergent until
it emerges clear and without soiling)
Interrupt detergent feed
Press trigger to blow out detergent residu-
es
Interrupt the compressed air feed
Clean externally using a cloth soaked in
detergent

MAINTENANCE

BEFORE ALL MAINTENANCE WORK:
CLEAN SPRAY GUN, INTERRUPT COMPRESSED AIR
FEED AND COATING SUBSTANCE FEED; DISSIPATE
