Flashing
The flashing function is activated with the following command:
Flashing on: $F1
Flashing off: $F0
If $F1 is transmitted in the data string, the subsequent characters flash until the end
of the data string or until $F0 is transmitted in the data string.
Blanking
The display can be blanked with the following command:
Blanking on: $B1
Blanking off: $B0
Blanking has priority over the flash function.
Reduction of display brightness
The brightness of the display can be reduced with the following command:
Normal brightness:
Reduced brightness:
$ character in the text
$$ has to be transmitted for the representation of the $ character in the display.
ESC sequences
The character <ESC> (1B
e.g. <ESC>L1 instead of $L1.
Power-on reset
After the operating voltage is applied, minus signs appear in all decades in order to
signal operational readiness of the unit. If a display test has been preselected in the
menu, it runs beforehand.
