Please note that the older version hub unit (Fig. 1), which may be on your vehicle, may contain a cap on the

back side of the hub unit assembly. The cap is no longer required. The cap on the older version may also stick

at times in the knuckle when the old hub unit is removed.

The knuckle needs to be checked and the cap needs to be removed if the cap is still in the knuckle. If the new

hub unit (Fig. 2) is installed with the old cap still in the knuckle, damage will occur to the new unit.
