TROUBLESHOOTING
Contact Princess Auto Ltd. for a solution if the tool does not function properly or parts are missing. If unable to do
so, have a qualified technician service the tool.
Problem(s) Possible cause(s)
Engine will not start. Engine is cold.
Engine switch is in OFF position
Engine oil is low.
Out of fuel.
Bad fuel, engine stored without
treating or draining gasoline, or
refueled with bad gasoline
Spark plug is faulty or improperly
gapped.
Engine Flooded
Spark plug fouled/Engine fails to
produce a spark.
Fuel filter restricted, carburetor
malfunction, ignition malfunction,
valves stuck, etc.
Electric Starter
Engine lacks power. Bad fuel, engine stored without

Suggested solution(s)
Move choke to CLOSED Position until warm, then move to
the OPEN position.
Move engine switch to ON position
Fill with the recommended oil to the proper level.
If engine is cold, ensue choke knob is set correctly. Refuel.
Drain fuel tank and carburetor. Refuel with fresh gasoline.
Gap or replace spark plug.
Set choke knob to open/run position.
Remove and clean spark plug. Check electrode spacing
and set the gap to the correct dimension. Replace spark
plug if damaged.
Ensure the spark plug is installed and wire is connected.
Replace or repair faulty components as needed. Contact
Princess Auto Ltd. or take engine to an authorized service
center if necessary.
Have the starter checked by a qualified service technician.
Drain fuel tank and carburetor. Refuel with fresh gasoline.
