MINIMUM SAFETY DISTANCES
The connecting flue pipe must respect the
minimum safety distance (F) from heat-
sensitive structural components or inflammable
materials (wood panelling, beams or ceilings,
etc) in ventilated conditions.
Ø [mm]
80
100
Only for flue pipes with dia. 80 mm, this distance
is reduced to 1 cm if a flame-resistant insulating
material is used with a thickness of 5 cm and
a thermal conductivity λ at a temperature of
800 °C not above 0.17 W/mk (λ at 200 °C not
above 0.08 W/mk). Total: 5 cm insulation + 1
cm safety distance = distance of 6 cm.
The connecting flue pipe must not have any
narrow sections and the path must be as short
as possible.
In addition, it must comply in terms of size and
length with applicable instructions given by the
manufacturer of the appliance.
