Do not install this kit unless you have the ability to communicate with the outboard using
Evinrude Diagnostics software, version 4.0 or higher. Installation requires an update of
engine management software to add electronic shift and throttle functions to the EMM.
In addition, you MUST calibrate actuator stroke for proper shift and throttle operation.
Failure to correctly calibrate shift stroke will lead to gearcase failure and possible loss of
boat control not covered by warranty.
