5.3 VORTEX with VORTEX tracheostomy
adapter
Preparation
Dismantle the VORTEX Tracheo into its individual compon-
ents.
Precleaning
All individual parts must be pre-cleaned.
EQUIPMENT:
– Drinking water temperature of about 15 °C
PROCEDURE:
• Rinse all parts used for 2 minutes in running drinking water.
Cleaning and disinfection
Generally, a mechanical process (instrument dishwasher)
should be used for cleaning and disinfection.
NOTE
Damage to the product caused by cleaning agents and
disinfectants that are incompatible with the material
Not all cleaning agents and disinfectants are suitable for use
on the materials and product components. Unsuitable agents
can damage the product and render it unusable.
• Before cleaning and disinfecting, check that the cleaning
agent or disinfectant used is compatible with the materials
of the product components that are to be processed.
