3 USE
All the steps described below must be carried out correctly.
3.1 Function check
After receiving the VORTEX Tracheo, check that the path
through the valve in the mouthpiece is unobstructed:
• Let the drinking water run out
into the mouthpiece from the
top.
The water should escape
through the side openings in
the mouthpiece.
• Let the drinking water run out
through the bottom of the
mouthpiece.
The water should run out of the
lip attachment again.
• Dry the VORTEX Tracheo completely before using it for the
first time.
If the valve is obstructed, the VORTEX Tracheo must not be
used.
3.2 Preparing for treatment
Checking the valve position
Before every use, check that the valve is in the correct posi-
tion inside the VORTEX mouthpiece:
• Check that the valve in the
mouthpiece is in the position
shown.
