THERMAL PROTECTION

The machine has a thermal switch to disconnect the heater power supply in case of
contactor damage.
If, despite proper heating (and proper signal lighting informing the heating is on), the oil
is not warming up, call a qualified electrician to check the cause of the machine damage.
Possible cause of this failure may be the contactor damage.
If the contactor is damaged in the "closed" position, the machine will continue to heat
the oil until the thermal switch under the rear cover is disconnected (Drawing. 1, pos.
9). Emergency self-disconnecting will occur when the oil temperature is about 190 ° C.
Disconnect the machine from the mains, remove the rear cover (9) of the heater and check
whether "thermal protection" is activated. This will occur when the pin pointed by arrow
shown in the image below is in projected position.
Once the machine is cooled down, it will be possible to press the pin. Thermal switch will
then be ready for further operation. It is necessary to find the cause of such breakdown and
then take action to eliminate it.
