Ceiling mounting:
Mount the detector on the ceiling to monitor the crossing of an area in front of a window or a door.
If mounted at a height from 2.4 to 3 m from the ground and oriented downwards, the detector has a coverage of
approximately 5 m from floor level.
Avoid mounting over 4 metres high because this could compromise the correct functionality of the detector.
The arrows show the intrusion movements which are detected in the various mounting positions.
Installation
Choose the position of the detector, i.e. either horizontal, vertical or on the ceiling.
After having selected the installation position, follow the procedure described above to mount the detector.
Press the Test button to enter Test mode. Move in the protected area and observe when the LED lights up to check that
the detection coverage is adequate.
Installation is complete when the detection coverage is appropriate.

Installation advice

<IMPORTANT>
Before choosing the height at which to install the detector, consider that a blind area is present under the detector;
this area widens proportionally to the height at which the detector is positioned.
It is worth noting that the performance of the detector may be conditioned by external factors, such as the height of
the detected objects, the area to be detected, the installation point etc. The suggested installation height may be
adjusted according to the environmental factors found.
Take the following guidelines into consideration to optimise detector use:
Mount it in a position in which an intruder would normally cross the field of vision of the detector from one side to the
other.
Mount it where the field of vision is not obstructed, e.g. by curtains, ornaments etc.
Restrictions
Do not position the detector directly facing a door protected by the door contact because the wireless signals of the
door contact and of the detector could be transmitted in input at the same time, causing the signals to cancel each
other out.
Do not install the detector fully exposed to direct sunlight.
Do not install the detector in areas in which devices which could cause sudden changes of temperature in the
detection area are present, such as air conditioning units, radiators etc.
Avoid large size obstacles in the detection area.
Do not point directly towards source of heat, such as fires or boilers, and do not install over radiators.
Avoid moving objects in the detection area, i.e. curtains, soft furnishings etc.
