V1.0
1.
Rotate the drum until the oval slot is at a convenient position.
2.
Thread the strap under the bushing (Fig. 3-1). Lay the strap loop
between the oval slots.
3.
Insert the bolt through the drum sides and loop. Secure with a locknut
on the gear side.
4.
Tighten the locknut enough so the bolt is snug, but can still slide in the
slots.
5.
Wind the strap onto the drum.
OPERATION
CAUTION! Wear gloves to protect your hands while handling the cable or
strap material.
1.
The worm gear hand winch does not have a ratchet mechanism. The
worm gear design will hold the cable or strap in place at the point you
stop cranking the handle.
2.
The drum moves freely in both directions.
3.
The cable cannot be pulled out freely like a ratchet hand winch. Rotate
the handle counterclockwise to feed out the amount of cable needed to
reach the load.
4.
Attach the hook or terminal tackle to the load.
5.
Crank clockwise to wind the cable onto the drum.
6.
Check how well the terminal hook is seated once there is tension on
the line.
7.
Continue cranking until the load is moved to the desired location.
8.
Crank counterclockwise to loosen the cable and remove from the load.
