4.
Insert the bolt through the drum sides and loop. Secure with a locknut
on the gear side.
5.
Tighten the locknut enough so the bolt is snug, but can still slide in the slots.
6.
Wind the strap onto the drum.
OPERATION
AUTO-BRAKE
The winch' s auto-brake locks the drum in place when you stop turning the
handle (D). The brake disengages when you resume turning the handle. You
can turn in either direction without having to operate a ratchet switch.
Always have a load to keep tension on the cable when unwinding. The cable
outside the winch may not move and the spools of cable on the drum may
loosen, introducing slack into the system. This can lead to a jam in the
mechanism or cause an injury if the line suddenly becomes taut.
WINDING/UNWINDING (NO LOAD)
1.
Turn the handle (D) counterclockwise to unload the cable until you
have enough slack. Keep tension on the line while doing this.
2.
Grasp the hook and pull the cable until the hook can be attached to the
load.
3.
Rewind any excessive cable by turning the crank clockwise.
WINDING UNDER LOAD (TOWING OR LOADING)
1.
Turn the crank clockwise to wind up the cable. Make sure to wind the
cable evenly on to the drum.
UNWINDING UNDER LOAD (LOWERING, UNLOADING)
1.
Turn the crank counterclockwise to unwind the cable.
2.
The cable should be fully retracted again after use.
CARE & MAINTENANCE
1.
Maintain the tool with care. A tool in good condition is efficient, easier
to control and will have fewer problems.
2.
Inspect the tool components periodically. Repair or replace damaged or
worn components.
3.
Follow instructions for lubricating and changing accessories.
4.
Keep the tool handles clean, dry and free from oil/grease at all times.
