CUTTING INSTRUCTION
• Read the Safety instructions beginning on page 13 concerning proper use of the Chain saw.
• Always wear gloves and protective clothing when operating the Chain saw.
• Felling a tree requires knowledge and experience, especially in a case of felling a large diame-
ter tree or cutting on steep slopes or unstable ground. Please seek the advice of a real expert
before attempting to fell a tree.
• Before attempting to fell a tree, cut some small logs or limbs to practice of the Chain saw oper-
ations.
• Apply only light pressure while running the engine at full throttle constantly.
• If the chain is properly sharpened, the cutting should be relatively effortless. Replace the chain
or sharpen it.
• If the saw pinches during cutting operation, stop the engine and insert a wedge to remove it.
• Do not let any person use your saw unless he has read this manual and fully understands its
instruction.
• Use chain saw only to cut wood or wood products.
HOLDING THE SAW
With both hands, keep a good, firm grip on
the saw.
The right hand should be on the rear handle,
and the left hand on the front handle.
APPROPRIATE USE OF SPIKED BUMPER
Engage the spiked bumper firmly in the wood and pivot the
saw around this contact point.
KICKBACK SAFETY PRECAUTION
KICKBACK PHENOMENON:
If the upper quadrant of the tip of the bar touches any
object, the reaction of the chain may drive the saw rapidly
straight back toward the operator. Do not cut limbs with the
nose of the guide bar.
