6. INSTRUMENT INSTALLATION
6.2 Installation of domestic water volumetric
meters.
- Close the two ball valves on the domestic water lines in which the
water meter will be installed.
- Unscrew the 2 nuts and remove the steel infill valve and gaskets.
- Install the volumetric meter by interposing the appropriate gaskets and
observing the direction of the flow (from left to right, as illustrated in
the figure below) indicated on the brass body of the volumetric meter
itself. The direction of the flow must be consistent with that indicated
on the ball valves with integrated retaining cartridge.
- Open the ball valves.
- After having checked the hydraulic seal of the fittings, put the seals
on the water meter using the holes located underneath the butterfly
handles of the ball valves upstream and downstream of the meter.

6.3 Balancing valve kit (for box assemblies only).

The Balancing valve kit should be installed in place of the impurity
collection filter (where present) once the system washing and cleaning
operations have been carried out.
To proceed with the installation of the kit, follow the instructions below.
- Close the 4 ball valves located on the flow and return lines of the hea-
ting and cooling circuit.
- Unscrew the 2 pipe unions located upstream and downstream of the
impurity collection filter.

- Remove the filter with pipe unions complete with gaskets (be careful of
the brass adapter complete with O-ring which guarantees the seal on
the thermowell side of the ball valve and will consequently be reinstal-
led during assembly of the balancing valve kit).

Adapter whit OR
- Unscrew the pipe union located downstream from the filter and screw it
onto the balancing valve as indicated in the figure below (downstream
with respect to the direction of the flow indicated on the brass body of
the balancing valve).
- Take the pipe union supplied in the kit and screw it on upstream with
respect to the direction of flow indicated on the brass body of the
balancing valve.
