DESCRIPTION
The CHF recessed box is available in 5
sizes that can be combined with the
corresponding fan coils of the FCX_P
and FCXI_P ranges.
The recessed CHF box is made of
galvanised steel sheets, and all the
holes needed to mount a specific FCX_P
or FCXI_P unit are already drilled in
its back panel. There is also a pre-cut
square for any water connections that
may be required. The fan coil needs an
external control panel.
The back panel is ready to house a
power supply socket with fuse-holder.
This pre-installation has been made
using Gewiss products whose codes
are: container: GW 27 003; fuse-
holder: GW 20 401; Italian/German
socket: GW 20 246).
The sides are pre-arranged for any
necessary side hydraulic devices, and
for the electrical connections. The
upper surface slopes, to direct air
towards the room to be conditioned.
The lower surface features two openings
of suitable size for the passage of pipes
and electric cables.
WARNING: pay attention to the risk
of sharp edges after the front closure
panel is removed.
WARNING: the device must be installed
in compliance with the national plant
engineering rules.

work, make sure the power supply is
unplugged.

The recessed box shaped rim has a
special lip where to apply the plaster.
The CHF accessory consists of:
- 1 recessed box
- 2 lower brackets
- 2 covering feet
- 2 anti-deformation crossbars
- 2 upper side covers
- 1 external frame with a deflector fin

assembled quickly and easily: just rest
it against the appropriate supports to
ensure the secure contact.
The front closure panel and the visible
parts of the recessed box are treated
with an undercoat varnish so they can
be painted with the same paint used
for the wall where the unit is mounted.
During the design or building phase, pay
special attention to the point where
the recessed CHF box will be installed.
It should be perfectly level, with the
concave section facing the room to be
conditioned. In particular, bear in mind
the plaster thickness, the final height
from the ground, and the presence of
a skirting board. Remember that the
the installation of the fan coil and
relevant accessories, should only be
performed by a technician with the
necessary technical and professional
expertise to install, modify, extend and
maintain plants, and who is able to
check the plants for the purposes of
safety and correct operation.
In the specific case of electrical wirings,
the following must be checked:
cassaforma is an assembly template
only, so it is not load-bearing; you are
advised to insert an appropriately sized
structure to support the wall above the
cassaforma itself.
Insert a panel of building insulating
material (not supplied) between the
back of the box and the wall.
The CHF box must be fixed using
building material.
For the electrical system to power
the fan coil, use H05V-K or N07V-K
type cables with 300/500V isolation,
enclosed in a tube or a duct; prevent
the wires touching the box's steel
casing. An electrical connection is
supplied to earth the CHF box.
Packaging
The CHF is supplied in packaging
consisting of a rigid support (cardboard
box) and polystyrene protection.
The packaging must not be disposed of
carelessly but collected and sent to the
specific collection centre.
