To begin, the belly pan must be removed, to do this both left and right-handed lower side panels
should be removed as one unit. First place a soft material under the bike to prevent any damage to
the fairing during removal.
Remove the two rear-most fasteners on each side as shown in picture 1 using a 5mm Allen key.
Remove the pop pins from the inner section of the belly fairing by depressing the centre pin and
removing the plastic spreader as shown in picture 2.
While supporting the belly pan from underneath, remove the 3 x Allen head bolts from each side as
shown in picture 3.
Ensuring the side stand is in the 'down' position, lower the belly pan away from the bike as shown
in picture 4. Tilt the belly pan and slide the unit out from under the bike ensuring not to damage
the paintwork.
Next the upper fairing should be removed, this is done in 2 pieces sections per side.
For each side:
Begin by removing the bolt under the 'wing' section of the fairing as shown in Picture 5
o
using a 5mm Allen key.
Remove the pop pin as before under the rear section of the 'wing' section of the outer fairing
o
as shown in picture 6.
Remove the upper fairing bolt using a 3mm Allen key as shown in picture 7.
o
Remove the outer fairing bolt as shown in picture 8.
o
Remove the lower panel underneath the headlight by removing the pop pins on both sides
o
as shown in picture 9 and 10.
The outer section of the upper fairing can now be removed by sliding this panel forwards as
o
shown in picture 11 to disengage several tabs linked to the inner panel.
Release the two pop pins now revealed by the removal of the outer panel and shown in
o
Picture 12.
While supporting the fairing piece, remove the remaining bolt arrowed in picture 13.
o
Pull the fairing gently away from the bike ensuring to disengage the retaining pins from the
o
rubber grommets.
Remove the two pop pins from the upper section of the plastic OEM air deflector the same way as
before as shown in picture 14.
