To remove the child from the child car seat unfasten the buckle
of the vehicle seat belt, remove the diagonal portion of the
seat belt from the seat belt guide (K) and pull the abdominal
portion out from under the armrests of the car seat (B).
2. INSTALLING THE CHILD CAR SEAT WITHOUT THE
CHILD
WARNING! To avoid injuries to other passengers, ALWAYS
use the LATCH connectors or the vehicle's three-point seat
belt to fasten the car seat in place, including when not in use.
To proceed follow the steps described in points 2 to 4 of sec-
tion 1. INSTALLING THE CHILD CAR SEAT AND PLACING THE
CHILD IN THE SEAT (Fig. 19).
3. REMOVING THE CHILD CAR SEAT
To remove the car seat from the vehicle after having installed
it with the vehicle's 3-point seat belt simply release the belt
from the buckle and pull it out from under the armrests of
the car seat (B).
To remove the car seat after having installed it with the
LATCH connectors follow these steps:
- Pull firmly on the LATCH connector extraction lever (D) to
release the connectors from the hooks located on the seat
area of the vehicle while at the same time pulling the car
seat toward yourself to remove it from the vehicle seat area
(Fig. 20)
- Pull firmly on the LATCH connector adjustment strap (F) to
correctly return the connectors to their housing.
The holes present on the LATCH connectors can also be used
to release the connectors. Pull firmly to free them from the
hooks located in the seat of the vehicle (Fig. 21).
4. INSTALLING AND REMOVING THE CUP HOLDERS
To install the cup holder properly, align the letter (L or R)
printed on the base of the cup holder with the matching let-
ter on the correct side of the car seat (Fig. 22A).
Be sure that the spout of the cup holder fits in behind the
groove located on the lower part of the car seat (Fig. 22B).
To remove the cup holder press the button located under the
seat area of the car seat (Fig. 23).
The cup holder can also fold, allowing others to sit next to the
child car seat (Fig. 24).
WARNING! DO NOT put hot liquids in the cup holder. The
hot liquid might spill on your child causing burns.
WARNING! Only use plastic containers. Do not use glass or
metal containers. Contents may be hot and might spill out.
WARNING! Only use cups with a capacity of less than 355 ml.
WARNING! Do not put sharp objects in the cup holder. In
the event of a crash these objects could hit you or your child
and cause severe injury.
5. REMOVING THE FABRIC FROM THE CHILD CAR SEAT
WARNING! Before removing the car seat fabric be sure to
put both LATCH connectors away properly (see paragraph 4.
