• Place the charger and battery on a heat-resistant, non-combustible surface.
• The charger and battery will heat up during the charging process. Therefore, keep a sufficient distance
between the charger and the rechargeable battery, and never place a rechargeable battery on the
charger. Never cover the charger and the battery. Do not expose the charger or battery to extremely
high/low temperatures or direct sunlight.
• Never leave batteries unattended when they are charging.
• Rechargeable batteries should be charged regularly (approx. once every 2–3 months) to prevent them
from overdischarging. This may result in permanent damage and render the batteries useless.
NiMH rechargeable batteries (except special batteries with a low self-discharge) lose their charge within
a few weeks.
LiPo batteries usually retain their charge for several months. However, if the batteries overdischarge, this
will result in permanent damage and render them useless.
• If LiPo rechargeable batteries are to be stored for a long time (for example, if you will not be operating
the vehicle in winter), they should not be fully charged, but only at about 50 to 75% of their maximum
capacity. Pay particular attention to the information of the rechargeable battery or charger manufacturer.
• Never use an excessive charging current. Observe the manufacturer's specifications for the ideal/
maximum charging current.
• Disconnect the battery from the charger when the battery is fully charged.
• The charger and the rechargeable battery must not get damp or wet. This may result in a fatal electric
shock or cause a fire or explosion!
Lithium rechargeable batteries (e.g. LiPo batteries) contain chemicals that are very sensitive to moisture.
• This vehicle is only suitable for two LiPo drive rechargeable batteries with 2 cells (rated voltage 7.4 V) or
two LiPo drive rechargeable batteries with 3 cells (rated voltage 11.1 V).
When using a drive rechargeable battery with more cells, there is a danger of fire resulting from the
speed controller overheating. In addition, the vehicle's drive will be overloaded and thus damaged (e.g.
differential). This will void the warranty!
The two drive rechargeable batteries must be identical (same rechargeable battery type, same capacity,
same discharge rate, same manufacturer, same type). Never use different drive rechargeable batteries
together, because there is a risk of fire!
Both drive rechargeable batteries must also have the same state of charge. For example, never connect
a full and a half-full LiPo drive rechargeable battery to the speed controller in order to prevent a deep
discharge that will permanently damage the rechargeable battery.
