INSTALLATION PROCEDURE:
1. Prior to Installation:
Before handling the part, make sure the installer's hands are clean.
2. Installation Environment:
To ensure the best results during an installation you must set-up an installation area that is safe and clean.
The following items should be considered when selecting an area for installation:
(1) Installation should be performed in an ambient temperature range of 16-43 °C (60-110 °F)
(2) Keep installation area free of dust, grease, or other small particles that can become airborne, i.e. wax dust, paint
overspray, etc.
3. Installation Steps:
Step 1
While the trunk is closed, use a clean cloth with rubbing alcohol to thoroughly clean the trunk garnish and the surrounding areas.
Remove all contaminants such as dirt, dust or fingerprints. Use the alcohol wipes to prepare the final surface.
Step 2
For initial positioning, perform a dry fit(do not peel the liner off) of the part by centering it around the Subaru emblem. See Fig. B.
Ensure there is an equal gap on the left and right side of the trunk trim and reposition if necessary.
The Carbon fiber trunk trim will install on top of the vehicle trunk garnish.
Familiarize yourself with the Carbon Fiber Trunk Trim's positioning. The following steps will begin actual installation
