3.1 Installation
CAUTION
The device has to be installed without tension (no torsional or flexional stress).
If necessary, supports have to be used for the cable and the device.
NOTICE
A seal is placed on the device in the factory to prevent manipulation and unau-
thorised maintainence work. Due to improper use and installation of the device,
the seal may be destroyed what results in ending of the guarantee.

Please note the information on the type plate!
Preferentially the flow transmitter is horizontally installed with consideration of the flow di-
rection (arrow on the housing) (vertical installation is possible). To prevent the formation of
air bubbles or dirt at the sensors, they have to be horizontally aligned for this installation
(connection box must not be horizontally aligned sideways +- 15°). Seals, screws as well
as tightening torque have to be used according to the pipe system. Additional recommen-
dations and installation conditions see following sub-section.
