• If the optional cardan shaft supplied by the Manufacturer is not used, check it is suitable for
the tractor power, the power transmitted and the speed of rotation.
• This high pressure cleaner was designed to be connected up to category 1 tractors only.
• Also verify:
- that the cardan shaft has the safety symbols and marking and has its operating and
maintenance manual with the relative declaration of conformity:
- that the safety devices on the cardan shaft (housing, hoses, etc.), are in working order and
are not damaged; any damaged, worn or missing parts must be replaced with original
spare parts that must be fitted correctly according to the instructions manual;
- that the safety device (3) and the housing for the cardan shaft overlap by at least 50 mm
- that the length of the cardan shaft is sufficient to ensure the telescopic hoses overlap during
work by at least one third of their length in their maximum extended position (at least half
their length in their maximum retracted position) and keep a gap of at least 100 mm when
they are retracted.
h) Clean and lubricate the grooved shaft on the pump unit and the cardan shaft.
i) Insert the hub on the cardan shaft's fork (machine side) into the pump unit shaft so that the

Follow the instructions provided in the instructions manual should the blocking system consist
of a tapered bolt with relative torque.
j) Hook the retaining safety device (chain) up to one of the points (4) provided on the safety
