Operate the device on the top-hat rail. See Section 8: Wall mounting.
1.
Connect the camera to the video input (1).
2.
If loop-through is necessary, set the terminating resistor (4) to Off and connect
the video cable extension to the video loop (3).
Connect all devices to the network switch (6).

Connect one or more client PCs to the network switch using the network cable

Connect an analog monitor to one of the devices (2).

Connect the power supply cable to the device (8) first and then to the power

source.
Switch on the analogue monitor.

After a short wait, the IP address of the device will appear on the screen.
Repeat steps 5 to 7 for each device.

Connect the client PC to the power supply.

10. Start the client PC.
11. Set the IP address of the client PC. See Section 9.7: Setting the IP address of
the client PC.
12. Install the software and configure it. See Section 10: Software and
Section 11: Configuration.
13. Connect the Video Fire Controllers to the FDnet (9).
14. Configure the devices on the fire control panel. See Section 12: Configuring
FDV241 on the fire control panel.
