Setting the angle of the saw head
The angle of saw head can be adjusted between +60° and -60°.
1.
Hold the bracket with one hand and
press the angle adjustment latch using
your thumb.
2.
Rotate the head up to 60° upwards or
downwards, to align a hole in the bracket
with a hole in the head and release the
angle adjustment latch. The latch clicks
into position and locks the saw head.
There are a total of 6 positions and the
angle can be adjusted 120°.
Check the oil level
Start the pruning saw, allow the chain to rotate and see whether oil splashes on the ground. When
the oil container is full, the oil will be sufficient for about 10-15 minutes of work. Fill the oil container
before each use. Appropriate protective clothing should be worn as oil droplets are thrown from the
chain during work.
IMPORTANT:
• Switch off the appliance and wait until all moving parts have stopped completely and remove the
battery before topping up the oil.
• The optimal flow is set at the factory and cannot be changed.
• Fill the oil container before each use. The appliance can be seriously damaged if it is run without
oil in the oil container.
To think about when cutting
• Do not work with the shaft at an angle greater
than 60° to the ground – risk of personal injury
due to falling branches. Pay attention to the
branch being cut and on the ground, so that
previously cut branches do not result in a fall.
• The pruning saw and chain are designed to
minimise the risk of kickback. Nevertheless,
kickback can occur if the outer part of the guide
bar comes into contact with branches or other
solid objects. Hold the appliance firmly with both
hands.
• Thin branches can be cut with a single cut. Cut
coarse branches in several parts/in several places
to prevent them from splitting or folding.
