• When the battery is not being used it must be kept away from
other metal objects such as paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws
and other metal objects that can short circuit the terminals. Short
circuiting the battery terminals can cause burns or a fire.
Special safety instructions for the battery and charger
• Failure to handle the battery carefully can cause acid to leak from
the battery. Avoid contact with battery fluid. Rinse well with plenty
of water if battery fluid comes into contact with the skin. Seek
medical attention if you get battery fluid in your eyes. Acid leaking
from the battery can cause irritation or burns.
• The power tool is not intended to be used by persons (children or
adults) with any form of functional disorder or by persons who do
not have sufficient experience or know-how on how to use it, in so
far as they have not received instructions concerning the use of the
power tool from someone who is responsible for their safety.
• Keep children under supervision to make sure they do not play with
the power tool.
• Read these instructions carefully before use.
• Check that the mains power supply corresponds to the rated
voltage on the rating plate.
• Do not charge the battery in the rain or in damp or wet areas.
• The ambient temperature must not exceed 40 °C. Do not expose
the unit to direct sunlight.
• Batteries that are defective or damaged, or that cannot be
charged, must be disposed of in accordance with local regulations.
• If the power cord and/or plug are they must be replaced by an
authorised service centre or qualified person to ensure safe use.
