8. Getting started and operation
8.1 Connecting to the power supply
Plug the mains plug of the kitchen radio into an easily accessible mains socket.
When the kitchen radio is connected to a mains socket for the first time and no backup
batteries are inserted, it automatically starts scanning for available radio stations and
saves them. You can save up to 30 radio stations. After the station search has finished,
the
symbol [32] flashes for a few seconds on the display [1]. The date and time are
now synchronised automatically if there is a good RDS signal. If automatic clock
synchronisation fails, the RDS signal is too weak and you will have to set the date and
time manually.
8.2 Switching the kitchen radio on and off
Power the kitchen radio on by briefly pressing the VOLUME button [14].
Briefly press the VOLUME button [14] again to switch the kitchen radio off.
When it is switched off, it switches back on to the last operating mode active
(Radio/AUX).
8.3 Adjusting the volume
You can set the volume between level "00" (minimum volume) and level "20" (maximum volume). Turn
the VOLUME adjustment knob [14] clockwise to increase the volume, or anticlockwise to lower it. The
volume currently set is shown on the display [1].
8.4 Selecting the station
You can recall saved stations as follows:
Press the PRESET- [3] or PRESET+ [4] buttons to toggle directly the saved stations.
8.5 Automatic station scan
Automatic station scan will search for all available stations and save them automatically. You can save
up to 30 stations. Proceed as follows to start the automatic station search:

8.6 Manual station search
This function allows you to search for a channel without automatically saving it.
Switch the kitchen radio to Radio mode.
