• Mount the feed roller F (Fig. 6.14) and its shaft D, keeping
in mind that it is divided into two parts. Be careful to mount
it with the bearings towards the outside of the roller.
• Mount the tightening rod E (Fig. 6.14) and the two tighte-
ning screws C.
• Tighten the belt, ensuring that the teeth are correctly en-
gaged.
• To tighten the belt, turn the screws D (Fig. 6.18) clockwise
with the help of a wrench E. The two screws D must be ad-
justed the same, giving them the same number of turns, to
maintain the alignment of the roller. Belt A will be taut when
it is completely flat. Over-tensioning the belt can cause pre-
mature wear of the belt.
• To verify that the alignment is correct, check that the dis-
tance G, from the cover to the shaft N, is the same for both

• Reassemble cover B, with screws A. (Fig. 6.13)
