4.2. Adjustments of the edge feeding
Open the passage for cutting blade K (Fig. 4.4): Push
cylinder B (Figs. 4.3 and 4.4) until blade K (Fig. 4.4) allows the
edge to pass freely when it enters.
Open the passage for edge guide D (Fig. 4.4): Using knob
C (Fig. 4.3), lift edge guide D (Figs. 4.3 and 4.4), allowing the
edge to pass.
Set the edge height on edge guide D and guide H (Figs.
4.3 and 4.4): Thread the edge between guides H, pull out
the pressure roller using lever I, so that it allows the entering
edge to pass, and then slide the edge to its outlet through
edge guide D. Adjust the height of edge guide D, using knob
C so that it slides smoothly, without applying pressure on the
edge. Adjust the height of stops A on guide H and lock them
in place, leaving a margin of at least 0.5 mm between the
stops and the edge.
IMPORTANT
The optimum setting is considered to be one where the edge
slides freely with no obstacles along its entire path, and with
minimal vertical slack.
