5. TROUBLESHOOTING

5.1 Pressure cooker cannot be closed

The contents of the pressure cooker are already boiling and are producing so much
steam that the pressure cooker lid cannot be closed, please reduce stove power or
remove the pot from stove.

It's trying to close the pressure cooker with pressure selector on position I,II or III, to
help closing smoothly please rotate pressure selector to (0) position.
5.2 Pressure cooker cannot build-up
 Foodstuff and water were cold; pressure build-up can take up 20 minutes.
 Pressure selector is at (0) position, steam is directly vented through the regulating
valve. Select a higher cooking level than (0)
 The pressure cooker is not properly closed. Check the closing mechanism, the seal
ring and the valves for dirt, damages and correct position of the seal ring.
 The minimum amount of liquid (375ml) it's not available. If there is very little or no
liquid in the pressure cooker, no steam can be generated.
5.3 The regulating and safety valve is venting all the time
 Pressure selector it's in "0" position or the selected cooking level h's been reached,
reduce heat source to minimum.
 Pressure selector valve is dirt and must be cleaned (see chapter 4.2).
 Safety valve is dirt and must be cleaned (see chapter 4.3).
 Safety valve it's not working or safety valve nut it's not screw tightening.
NOTE: A small amount of steam may be vented at any time from the valves. A few
drops of condensed water may leak.
5.4 Steam is escaping along the pot rim.
 The seal ring has not been greased and it's not correctly placed. Remove the seal ring
and lightly grease it and correctly place him in the pressure lid.
 Check if the pressure cooker it's correctly closed.
