6.3 Electrical Connection

The hot-water heat pump is wired ready for use; power is sup-
plied via connection cables plugged into an earthed wall socket
(~230 V, 50 Hz). This socket has to remain accessible after in-
stallation.
A separate cable has to be connected to the device for control-
ling external devices for the second heat generator. This is done
by opening the hot-water heat pump as described under 6.4. The
cable must then be led through the available cable feedthrough
provided, and guided through the partition. The electrical con-
nection terminal (X5 – 4/5/PE) with a floating contact to control
(ON/OFF) the external ancillary devices (pump, solenoid value
etc.) is located on the rear of the partition in the device. The cable
must be inserted and secured in the strain relief provided (see il-
lustration).
External heating element control
It is possible to optionally control the heating element via an ex-
ternal switch (e.g. timer), in parallel to the switch "heating ele-
ment" on the hot-water heat pump operator panel. For this con-
nection, a floating contact on the external switchgear is required.
Furthermore, an additional cable (min. 2 x 1.0 mm² / max. cable
outside ∅ 10 mm) must be inserted into the device and attached
to connection 6 and 7 of terminal strip X5.

Heat pump operation is blocked if the factory-mounted copper
bridge between pole terminals 8 and 9 is removed (see
Section 3.5).

6.4 Opening the Device

The "upper side panel" (2) and "upper front panel" (1) must be re-
moved for external cable or sensor insertion. The "cover panel"
(3) must also be removed.

Remove "upper front panel" (1) by loosening the (eight) tap-
ping screws (a) (plastic cover caps must first be removed)
Loosen all four tapping screws (b) on the cover (3) and on
the "upper side panel".
Loosen the two screws (c), swing the "upper side panel" (2)
away from rear panel (ca. 20 mm), push back "upper side
panel" by approx. 6 mm (as indicated by the arrow) and lift
(approx. 7 mm).
For disassembly of the "lower front panel" (4) (only neces-
sary when checking the corrosion protection anode or the
heating element), it is sufficient to loosen the lower two fas-
tening screws (d) and to push the "lower front panel"
upwards for 6 mm and then lift it off.
