• Keep the mouth closed during oral temperature measurement
and continue breathing evenly through the nose to establish ther-
mal equilibrium.
• Keep the armpit closed during the axillary temperature measure-
ment to establish thermal equilibrium.
• Wait for the end of the temperature measurement, signalled by
a series of beeps and the end of the flashing °C symbol, before
removing the thermometer.
excessive force when inserting the thermometer may cause
injury to surrounding tissue, e.g., perforation, puncturing.
• Do not force insertion and stop if you feel resistance.
this thermometer contains small parts that can be swallo-
wed and pose a choking hazard for children.
• Keep the thermometer out of the reach of children.

cannot be completely ruled out.
• If allergic reactions or skin irritation occur, stop the measurement
and avoid using this thermometer again.
Germs, e. g. bacteria and viruses, can be transmitted from
measuring site to measuring site and from patient to patient
during use and cause infection.

each measurement.
• If contamination or liquids visibly penetrates the housing, the
thermometer can no longer be reprocessed hygienically and
must be disposed of.
Incorrect storage or transport can damage the thermometer.

60 °C.
• Always keep the thermometer away from direct sunlight.
• Always keep the thermometer away from moisture and dirt.
• Do not excessively bend the tip of the medical thermometer.
• Do not bite the thermometer during use.
defective thermometers lead to incorrect measurement
results.
• Protect the thermometer from knocks and bumps.
• Always store the thermometer in the protective cover provided.
• Before each use, check your thermometer for functionality, exter-
nal damage and signs of excessive wear.
• Verify the result of the self-test on start-up.
• Check the measuring accuracy at least every 2 years as part of
a metrological check.
• Check the measured value obtained by means of a control
measurement if you are unsure or the measured value deviates
greatly from the expected measured value.
• Do not use the thermometer if it is damaged or the measuring
accuracy is no longer given.
Batteries can leak and damage the product.
• Remove the batteries if the thermometer is not going to be used
for a long period.

How to operate
1. remove the thermometer from the protective case.
2. Before using the thermometer for the first time, clean and disin-
fect it according to the processing instructions in Chapter
"Processing".
3. Press the "ON/OFF button" to switch on the thermometer.
4. A full display „
tional.
5. The next appearance „
internal safety testing. Otherwise, „
tion.
6. Then, the display shows the ambient temperature or „
while °C is blinking. The thermometer is now ready for a tem-
perature measurement. If the thermometer is not used within
3 minutes, the thermometer will be automatically turn-off.
7. Put the probe head in the rectum, under the tongue or under the
arm according to the methods provided.
We recommend determining the body temperature using the
rectal or oral measurement method.
8. When the thermometer completes its temperature measure-
ment, °C stops blinking and the measured temperature displays
with a series of beeps.
9. When the measured temperature is above or below the meas-
uring range, the display shows „
10. Please turn off the thermometer when not in use.
An automatic switch-off occurs after 9 minutes.
11. Prepare the thermometer for storage and for the next use ac-
cording to the information in chapter "Processing".
note! If the thermometer has been stored outside the intended
working temperature of +5 °C to +40 °C, or if the ambient temperature
is higher than the expected reading, immerse the probe tip in cold
water for 5-10 seconds before use.
evaluation of the measured values
The values listed below describe an average normal body tempera-
ture, you can use them as a guide:
•
For rectal measurement (in the anus):
34.4 - 37.8 °C
•
Oral measurement (in the mouth):
36.0 - 37.6 °C
•
For axillary measurement (armpit):
35.5 - 37.0 °C
Please note, however, that the body temperature depends on the
time of day and the degree of activity, as well as on physiological fac-
tors such as age, etc., and that the clinical literature also describes
values that deviate from those mentioned.
An interpretation of the measured value must always be made on a
case-by-case basis.
