MeasurIng prIncIple
A temperature-dependent sensor is located in the measuring tip
of the thermometer. Over the duration of the measurement, the
temperature of the measuring tip adapts to the temperature of the
surrounding tissue. Electronics integrated in the thermometer con-
vert the temperature recorded by the sensor into a digital value and
show this as a measured value on the display.
MeasureMent types
There are different temperatures at each measuring point of the body
according to the balance between heat generation, transfer and loss.
We recommend rectal or oral measurement.
rectal measurement - temperature measurement in the anus
Lubricate the measuring tip with suitable lubricant for an easier
insertion. Then carefully insert the measuring tip into the anus
(rectum) between 2 to 3 cm.
oral measurement - temperature measurement in mouth
Place the measuring tip into one of the two heat pockets under
the tongue to the left or right of the root of the tongue. Close your
mouth and breathe evenly through the nose.
axillary measurement - temperature measurement under the
armpit
Dry the armpit with a towel and place the measuring tip in the
armpit. Close the arm tightly.
Warranty
This thermometer has a two-year warranty against defects caused
by the manufacturer from the date of purchase. Please refer to the
notes and information in our guideline on dealing with claims.
