ACCESSORIES SUPPLIED WITH THE KAYAK:
Transportation bag, compression belt for folded kayak,
User's Manual with Warranty Certifi cate, foam sponge in
a mesh bag, gluing set containing glue, patches and valve
adapter.
3. Inflation Instructions
Lay out the kayak. If you want to use the rudder blade, insert
it into the fi xture in the bottom (15). Infl ate both seats and foot-
rests prior to their assembly. The use of valve (8) is described
in Picture 2. Attach the rear seat (5) to the bottom strap (18).
Lace the fastening straps (22) on the seat's back rest through
the D-rings (20) on the sidewall cylinders. Lace the ends of the
fastening straps through the plastic buckle (23) – see Detail A.
Fix the front seat in the fi xture (16) with the plastic buckle (23)
in the same fashion. You can fi x the foot-rest (7) for the rear
paddler to the same fi xture, but using the rear plastic buckle
(24). Fasten the front foot-rest (6) to the fi xture (19). Lace the
foot-rest's fastening strap through the plastic buckle on the
bottom and tighten it. Fastening straps properly laced through
the buckle are shown in Detail A.
Infl ate the air chambers in the following order: sidewall cylin-
ders (1) and the bottom (2).
A foot pump or piston pump with a valve adapter is the best
way of infl ating the craft (the valve adapter is included in the
gluing set) – see Picture 2b. Prior to infl ating the canoe, check
the valves. Set the valves to the closed position. For how to
use the valves – see Picture 2.
Infl ate the air chambers to the required operational pressure.
Use a pressure gauge with a corresponding adaptor (optional
equipment) for measuring the correct operating pressure - re-
fer to Fig. 2a. The spanner for assembling the valves is an
optional accessory – see Picture 2c.
The SOLAR 410C kayak is designed for use in a single–seat
confi guration as well – see Picture 1.
The single-seat confi guration can be assembled in a similar
way to the 2-seat confi guration. Attach only one seat in the
central position to fi xture (17). Lace the back rest's fastening
straps (22) through the D-rings (20). Lace the ends of the fas-
tening straps (22) through the plastic buckle (23) – see Detail
B. The oval-shaped fi xture (16) has several positions for fi xing
the foot-rest (7). The positions are numbered and correspond
to diff erent heights of paddlers. Position No. 1 corresponds to
a body height of (150–160) cm, Position No. 2 corresponds to
a body height of (160–170) cm, Position No. 3 corresponds to
a body height of (170–180) cm and Position No. 4 corresponds
to a body height exceeding 180 cm.
Lace the foot-rest's fastening strap (7) through the holes in the
foot-rest fi xture (16) on the bottom. Proceed from the chosen
position number through all the holes up to the plastic buckle
(24) on the end of the fi xture; lace the end of the fastening
strap through the buckle and tighten it – see Detail B.
To convert the two-seater kayak into a three-seat arrange-
ment, move the rear seat backward by one attachment on the
bottom (18) and by one row of D-rings on the tubes (20).
Use rope to tie the central seat to the D-ring at the manufac-
turer's label (12).
ATTENTION
The maximum operational pressure in air chambers is
0.02 MPa. If the ambient temperature increases (e.g. ow-
ing to sunlight), the pressure in the air chambers of the
canoe can rise rapidly. We recommend releasing some
air from all air chambers of the canoe after pulling it out
of the water. This will prevent possible destruction of
the air chambers. However, do not forget to continuous-
ly check air pressure in the chambers afterwards, too.
ATTENTION
When using the boat, always seal the valves with their
valve caps. This will keep dirt out of the valves. Dirt can-
cause leaky valve seals.

4. Using the Boat

The Solar 410C kayak is designed for recreational use and
water tourism.
Whenever the kayak is used on waterways, Waterway Traffi c
Rules should be observed. Operation of the Solar 410C a in-
fl atable canoe does not require any licence provided the peo-
ple who operate the canoe know the techniques of small boat
operation within the scope necessary for its operation, as well
as the valid navigation rules of the particular country.
The Solar 410C kayak can be used on still or gently fl owing
waters up to Diffi culty Grade WW 1. Use double-bladed kayak
paddles with a length of approx. 210 cm. People travelling
in the kayak should sit in their seats and wear fl otation life-
jackets.
ATTENTION
Prior to every use of the boat, check whether it is neces-
sary to observe any special regulations, restrictions or
rules connected with the river, surface of water or area
in which you aim to operate.
The boat is not designed to be towed behind motor-
boats, nor may it be otherwise towed, dragged or in any
way subject to unusual stress. Sharp edged and pointed
items carried in the boat must be safely wrapped.
Place all valuables into a waterproof container and fas-
ten it to the boat.
Over time, sunlight adversely aff ects the rubber coating
of the boat; therefore, it is advisable to store the boat in
shade each time after use.
CAUTION:
On large surfaces of water (seas, lakes) pay atten-
tion to water currents and off -shore breezes. Cur-
rents and breezes may make it impossible to return
to shore.
The Solar 410C kayak should not be used in poor
conditions, such as In reduced visibility (night, fog,
rain).
Characteristics of Diffi culty Grade WW 1 – Easy:
Regular water fl ow and low and regular wave formation,
small rapids, easy obstacles and frequent meanders with
quick water fl ows.
Subjective assumptions for riding wild waters graded
WW 1:
Knowledge of all basic strokes, both forwards and back-
wards, and steering and control of the boat. The ability to
realistically evaluate the diffi culty posed and the actual
state of the river's waters. Knowledge of elementary life-
saving techniques. Physical fi tness and swimming skills
are necessary on long trips.
