22. Loosen and remove the nuts from both the positive and nega-
tive terminal screws on the battery cables. Slide the wires
over the terminal screws and replace the nuts. Reconnect the
red (+) battery cable and tighten securely. Then, install and
tighten the black (-) cable. See Figure 3-18.

23. Install the controller panel and sheet metal controller cover.
Install and tighten retaining fasteners.
24. Put the generator in the OFF position if it is not already.
25. Re-install the generator controller fuse.
26. Reinstall the T1 fuse into the transfer switch.
27. Turn on the main breaker in the home's electrical panel. On
the control panel of the generator, follow the install wizard
and validate correct date, time, etc.
28. Place the generator in the AUTO mode.
29. Turn OFF or OPEN the utility disconnect switch to simulate a
power outage. The generator should turn on. Allow to run for
approximately 30 seconds, then turn the utility disconnect
switch back to ON or CLOSED to restore utility service.
Transfer switch will trasfer back to utility, generator will cool
down and then shut down.
30. Verify that the Mobile Link unit's middle LED is illuminated
and bottom LED is illuminated or flashing at this time. See
Figure 3-19.
