For safety reasons, children and young persons under 16 years of age as well as persons who cannot recog-
nise possible danger or who are not familiar with these operating instructions, are not permitted to use the
unit!
Please keep these operating instructions in a safe place! Also hand over the operating instructions when passing the
unit on to a new owner. Ensure that all work with this unit is only carried out in accordance with these instructions.
The combination of water and electricity can lead to danger to life and limb, if the unit is incorrectly connected or
misused. Only operate the unit if no persons are in the water! Prior to reaching into the water, always disconnect the
power supply to all units used in the water. Compare the electrical values of the power supply with those on the type
plate on the packaging or on the unit itself. Ensure that the unit is fused for a rated residual current of max. 30 mA via a
residual current-operating system. Only operate the unit when plugged into a correctly fitted socket. Keep the power
plug and all connection points dry! Protect the connection cable when burying to avoid damage. Only use cables
approved for outside use. Do not carry or pull the unit by the connection cable! The power connection cable of this unit
cannot be replaced. If the cable is damaged, the entire unit has to be disposed of. Electrical installations at garden
ponds must meet the international and national regulations valid for installers. Never open the unit housing or its
attendant components, unless this is explicitly mentioned in the operating instructions. Never carry out technical
changes to the unit. Only use original spare parts and accessories for the unit. Only allow authorised customer service
outlets to perform repairs. Never run the unit without water! Never use the pump for fluids other than water! For your
own safety, consult a qualified electrician when you have questions or encounter problems!

Assembly and installation

Screw either the nozzle tube (1) or the stepped hose adapter with O ring 12x4 (2) onto the connection thread. If you
use the nozzle tube, connect the desired fountain nozzle (3) to the connection socket (4). Place the unit in the pond as
horizontal as possible on firm, sludge-free ground and ensure that it is completely covered with water at a maximum of
2 meters below the surface of the water.
Start-up
Attention! Never operate the unit without water flowing through!
The unit switches on automatically when connected to power. The height and shape of the fountain depends on the
nozzle used. We recommend removing the fine-mesh filter (B) from the pump for water course/filter operation. The
power supply must be disconnected to switch off the unit.
Cleaning
Attention! Always disconnect the power supply prior to starting cleaning and maintenance work!
Unscrew the nozzle tube or stepped hose adapter with O ring 12x4 from the connection thread (A), actuate the en-
gagement hook of the strainer casing, open the strainer casing (C) and remove the pump (D). Unscrew the pump lid
(E1) and remove the impeller. Clean the impeller (F1) and filter housing using clear water and a brush, and rinse the
strainer casing under running water. After cleaning, fit the unit in the reverse order.
Storage/Over-wintering
Remove the unit at temperatures below zero degrees centigrade. Thoroughly clean the unit, check for damage and
store immersed in water in a frost-free environment. Do not immerse the plug!
