Only connect the appliance to an
AC power supply with voltage cor-
responding to the voltage speci-
fied on the rating plate.

Do not operate this appliance with
an external timer or remote con-
trol system.

Never immerse the appliance or
the power cord in water or other
liquids.

The base should never come
into contact with water or other
liquids. In case this ever happens,
it must be completely dry before
operating the appliance again.

Do not clean the appliance in a
dishwasher.
10. Never touch the appliance or
power cord with wet hands.
11. The appliance is intended for
household use only, or for similar
areas of use, such as,
ƒ kitchenettes in businesses, offi-
ces or other workplaces,
ƒ agricultural enterprises,
ƒ for use by guests in hotels, motels
or other lodgings,
ƒ in private guest houses or holiday
homes.
12. Check the appliance, the plug
and the power cord regularly
for wear or damage. In case of
damage to the power cord or other
parts, please send the appliance
or the base for inspection and
repair to our after sales service
(for address, see warranty terms).
Unauthorised repairs can result in
serious hazards for the user and
void the warranty.
13. If the power cord of this appliance
is damaged, it must be replaced
by the manufacturer or by the
manufacturer's customer service
organisation, or by a person with
similar qualifications, to prevent
hazards.

14. For safety reasons, never place
the appliance on hot surfaces, a
metal tray or a wet surface.

15. Do not place the appliance or
power cord near open flames
during operation.
16. Always use the electronic kettle
on a level, uncluttered and heat-
resistant surface.
17. Ensure that the power cord does
not hang over the edge of the
counter top or table, since this
can cause accidents, for example
if small children pull on the power
cord.
18. Route the power cord so that there
is no possibility of the cord being
pulled or tripped over.
19. Never wrap the power cord around
the appliance.
20. Use the electronic kettle only
indoors.
21. Use the appliance only for heating
water. Do not use it to heat milk or
other liquids, since they will boil
over when heated.
22. Never heat objects such as cans
or bottles in the electronic kettle.
23. Make sure that the lid of the
appliance is always completely
closed, to prevent injuries due to
hot splashing water.
24. Do not open the lid as long as the
water is boiling, to prevent inju-
ries due to hot splashing water.
25. Never fill the appliance with more
than 1.2 litres of water, to prevent
the water from boiling over.
26. Never switch on the appliance if
there is no water in the kettle.
27. Make sure that all users, espe-
cially children, are aware of the
danger of injury due to escaping
steam or hot splashing water –
danger of burns!
28. Do not move the appliance as
long as it is in operation, to pre-
vent burns due to splashing water.
29. The electronic kettle features boil
dry protection, which means the
appliance shuts off automatically
if the heating element becomes
too hot. Allow the appliance to
cool for approx. 15 minutes. Then
fill the electronic kettle with cold
