REPLACING THE DRIVE BELT
Your variable speed drill press has two belts attached to three pulleys: the chuck
drill pulley, a stationary pulley and the motor pulley.
1.
Remove the head assembly's upper cover (#77).
2.
Separate the halves of the chuck drill pulley (#52 and #54). Pull up on the
top half of the pulley to release tension on the forward belt.
3.
Press down on the bottom half of the motor pulley (#82) to release tension
on the rear belt.
4.
Remove the worn belts from the pulleys and install new ones.
5.
After each belt is replaced, close the top cover and turn on the drill press.
The pulley halves will automatically reseal themselves.
MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE
This schedule applies to normal operating conditions. If you operate your tool
under severe conditions, such as sustained high-load or high-temperature
operation or use in unusually wet or dusty conditions, consult a qualified
technician for recommendations applicable to your individual needs and use.
