The final stage is to install the wing retainer and the incidence pegs. Screw the retainer
nipples in the front holes in the root ribs. Glue the incidence pegs in the root ribs, leaving
them projecting by about 15 mm.
The exact length of the wing retainer system has to be adjusted when the model is
assembled.
You can now finish off your new aeroplane by applying the individual decals.
Assembling the DIAMANT
Fix the tailplane to the fuselage using the two M5 plastic screws supplied.
Connect the servo extension leads (permanently connected to the receiver) to the
extension leads which exit the wing roots. Slide the wing panels onto the steel joiner rod,
fit the incidence pegs in the appropriate holes in the fuselage, and engage the wing
retainer system.
Balancing the DIAMANT
Assemble the model completely, ready to fly, and support it at a point about 70 - 75 mm
aft of the wing root leading edge on both sides of the fuselage. The model should now
balance level, ideally with the nose inclined slightly down. It should be possible to achieve
this by adjusting the position of the receiver battery or flight pack. Mark the correct position
of the battery once found. For the first few flights we recommend that you balance the
model at the forward end of the CG range.
Check that all the control surfaces are exactly at centre (neutral position) when the
transmitter sticks and trims are at centre.
