Figure 1.- Main components of the NovoZip high-speed door
The door frame consists of two metal frames, a pulley and two flags. The pulley rests on the flags, which are in
turn screwed to the metal frames. The metal frames have plastic profiles, sliding guides, joined by a spring loaded
shock absorber system, whose function is to guide the flexible canvas.
The flexible canvas is made of PVC-coated polyester, with a side zipper closure system, which is rolled up on the
top pulley. The side zippers slide into the special plastic guides. The canvas is completely flexible, with no rigid
bars. The lower passive edge is also made of flexible materials.
If the canvas is accidentally hit, the zippers on the canvas come off the guides, and this prevents the canvas from
breaking. The fabric is then automatically fitted into the side guides in a simple opening or closing manoeuvre,
with no repair costs, no labour costs and no production downtime.
The movement is generated by a motor, transmitting it to the attached pulley. When the motor starts, the canvas
is collected by the pulley, pulling the door up with it, opening or closing it.
The machine is equipped, in standard configuration, with a TS971 control panel and a 3.5 350 FU motor. Optionally
it can be equipped with an SI 4.5 160 motor and a TS971 control panel.
The control panel regulates the opening and closing of the door, as well as the electronic safety mechanisms.
The door is equipped with a photocell in the upper drawer area, which controls the correct unrolling of the canvas,
and a light curtain that prevents physical contact between the edge of the door and/or with people or objects that
pass through the opening.
Other configurations are possible, contact NOVOFERM.
