Communication channels test

Keyboard provides tests for communication channels aimed to test and verify the reliability of the installed system.
• Test of communication with video matrix: connect directly the keyboard to the video matrix SW164OSM. The test
process verifies polling calls (STD matrix) or a particular test message (OSM matrix), to check the bi-directional
communication between the devices. WARNING: you must configure the type of video matrix connected (submenu
2.1) and the communication mode (submenu 2.2). All problems will be displayed on the screen.
• Communication channel AutoTest: without the connection with the video matrix, a suitable Test Plug and the
keyboard, which will send and receive the relevant commands, will perform a special autotest. The Autotest will test
both communication mode (RS232 and Current Loop) at the same time. All problems will be displayed on the
screen.

From main menu select Communications Test
submenu
Select the desired test (test with connection to the
matrix or autotest)

Begin test by pressing
Test time is about 10 seconds long.
Check if any message appears on display.

Troubleshooting.
(*) Notes: in case of connection with video matrix, the display will show the current configuration of the system:
Test STD 232 RX
STD (connection with standard matrix) / OSM (connection with OSM matrix)
232 (testing RS232 communication) / CL (testing Current Loop communication)
RX (test of receiving) / TX (test of transmission)
