7 Groundlift switches

To prevent hum interference by ground loops,
the DSM-480LAN is equipped with two ground
separating switches.
Ground loops may occur if two units have
contact with each other both via the signal
ground and via the protective conductor of the
power supply or a conductive connection of the
housings in the rack.
To separate the signal ground in the unit
from the housing ground, set the switch MAIN
(14) to position LIFT. If hum interference only
occur in connection with the remote control via
USB, RS-485 or Ethernet, the ground of these
interfaces may be separated from the signal
ground. For this purpose set the switch
INTERF. GND (15) to position LIFT.
