2. Functional description

The LogoPack is a system for duct installation in old and new buildings. The central heat source can be installed in the basement or loft of
apartment buildings.
It can also be installed on an on-site local or district heating system.
The vertical riser lines (provided by the customer) supply the LogoPack units in the housing complexes, which prepare hot water on-site
according to demand and supply the dwelling heating circuit individually. As a result, the riser lines used elsewhere for hot and sanitary
water circulation are no longer required.
The LogoPack unit is a tested unit containing all heating and upstream supply systems for an apartment or rental space. Electronic living
space controller (option) ensures that the desired temperature is maintained in the apartment throughout the year.
An electronic heat flow meter (on request) measures the total heat energy consumption.
A hot water meter is not required as the media for hot water preparation also flows through the domestic apartment cold water meter.
The benefits of hot water preparation with pressure controlled proportional flow controllers (PF controller with 3- way function) with anti-
scale coating and DVGW (German Association for Gas and Water) approval:
• Functions without auxiliary energy
• Low return line temperature (heating water; depending on the design)
• No hot water storage, which considerably reduces the growth of Legionella
• Hot water preparation on demand
• Priority switching of the hot water
• Carbon coated push rod with ceramic bearing (domestic water side)
Operation:
The PF controller with 3-way function only opens the domestic water and heating water media flows via the plate heat exchanger when
the hot water is being drawn off.
The push rod of the PF controller is carbon coated in a ceramic bearing (domestic water side), thus significantly protecting
it against limescale.
Once the water has been drawn off, the valve closes and thus prevents the continued heating of the heat exchanger.
The dwelling heating circuit is shut off while the hot water is being drawn off (priority switching).
The entire thermal energy is thus available for the hot water preparation.
Note:
If a constant heating supply temperature is ensured, the same hot water temperature is always achieved by means of proportional flow
regulation when small or large quantities are drawn-off. The use of a thermostatic mixing valve ensures scalding protection with very high
or erratic heating medium temperatures and anticipated hot water temperatures > 60°C.
We recommend using a thermostatic circulation bridge (option) at the end of the supply line in order to guarantee the thermal stability and/
or avoid waiting times until the desired hot water temperature is achieved.
The balancer or differential pressure regulator (option) in the riser line provides a stable pressure differential for the hot water preparation.
A zone valve in the dwelling heating circuit integrated in each device enables the hydraulic balancing. A heat flow meter adapter (L = 110
mm, 2 x 3/4" male thread) is included in the scope of supply of every station.
Additional accessories and other options can be found in our current price list.
