Air supply requirements
The DIN ISO quality specifications require, that air
is free of solid particles larger than 5 micron, re-
maining water content to be max. 6 g/m3 (pres-
sure dew point +3 degree C) and air may contain
5 mg/m3 of oil. Therefore please observe the fol-
lowing:
• Operating with dirty and unlubricated air redu-
ces tool life substantially.
Before installing extension hoses, blow them
clean and minimize , if at all necessary cou-
pling and keep them clean.
• Rust will occur,if air supply is not lubricated
and wet. A few drops of air tool oil from time
to time will prevent rust and stops bearings
from seizing.
4
• Conserve:
Put some drops of oil in the air inlet and briefly
blow through.
Safety Instructions
• Do not exceed max. operating speed of tool
and clamping element.
• Observe accurate mounting of insert tools.
• Observe mounting instructions for Mounted
Stones!
• Run tool for a couple of seconds under no
load, replace vibrating insert tools at once,
protect mounted points from knocks and gre-
ase.
• Secure work, use clamps or a vise to hold
work.
• The grinder operator shall wear safety gog-
gles or face shield at all times when the grin-
der is in operation.
• If noise level exceeds 85 dB(A) at the work
station, operator must use ear protection
(plugs and/or ear mufflers).
For additional safety instructions refer to enclosed
brochure DL 39 220 01.
Operation conditions and instructions
The machine can be turned on and off by turning
the lever. 1. Turn locking lever in direction indicated
by arrow , and 2. Depress valve lever 6.
Grinding/Deburring/Cleaning
• Never use a cut-off wheel for grinding/snag-
ging.
• Observe even material removal, avoid chatte-
ring.
• Do not treat any material containing asbestos.
Change of tools/abrasives
• Disconnect air supply before changing tools/
abrasives
• Hold Spindle 4 with wrench 5, mount or dis-
mount collet 6 using wrench 7.(Or clamping
bolt 14 with Allen wrench 16).
• Check concentricity, use only vibration free
tools and always observe M.OS. (Max. ope-
rating speed). Observe mounting instructions
for Mounted Stones!
Maintenance
• Store tool in a clean, dry place.
Check the idling speed from time to time.
• Even if the tool still gives satisfactory service,
have it checked by a trained mechanic after
