Regularly check for leakage or traces of abrasion
in the fuel system, such as porous pipes, loose or
missing clamps and damage to the tank or tank
cap. Before use all defects must be repaired.
The generator should only be operated,
maintained and fuelled under the following
conditions:
(1) Sufficient ventilation – avoid surroundings
where vapours can accumulate, like collieries,
caves, excavations and bilges. Pay attention
to air flow and temperature. The surrounding
temperature should not exceed 40°C.
() If in enclosed premises, where dangerous
fumes are removed through pipes. Motor exhausts
contain carbon monoxide, a toxic and odourless
gas that can cause severe damage to health, or
even death if inhaled.
(3) Only fuel the generator in well-lit areas. Avoid
fuel spillage. Never refuel the generator during
operation. Let the motor cool down for about two
minutes before refuelling.
(4) Refuelling must not be carried out near naked
flames, control lamps or spark producing electrical
equipment such as electric tools, welders or
sanders.
(5) Ensure the sound absorber and air filter work

properly. These parts serve as flame protection in
case of misfire.
(6) Do not smoke near the generator. Do not wear
loose clothing, jewellery, or similar items that
could be caught in the starter or other moving
parts.
Before connecting electric leads the appliance
must reach its full speed. Disconnect leads
before switching off the motor. To prevent
injury by electric shock, ensure the fuel tank is
not completely empty while electric leads are
connected.
Never put any items into the ventilation openings.
This applies even when the generator is switched
off. Non-observance may lead to injury, or damage
to the generator.
If transporting the generator in a car, empty the
fuel tank completely first, to prevent the leaking
of fuel.
BUse suitable techniques to lift the generator.
Unsuitable lifting may lead to injuries..
To avoid possible burn injuries, do not touch the
exhaust system or other parts of the motor or
generator that become hot during operation.
Do not connect the appliance to household
outlets.
Do not connect to other power sources.
