charging is completed. The light turns red indicates a problem with the charging process.
• Remove the battery from the battery charger when the changing is completed.
• Disconnect the battery charger from the main supply if it will not be used for long period of
time.
Removing and installing the battery (Fig. 3)
• To remove the battery from the tool, press down the locking hooks on both sides and pull
out the battery.
• To install the battery, align the battery with the tool as illustrated in Fig. 3, then insert into
the battery compartment until an audible click sound is heard.
Removing the guide bar and chain (Fig. 4)
• Switch off the tool and remove the battery.
• Turn the wingnut (4) counterclockwise until the chain sprocket cover can be removed.
• Remove the guide and chain.
Mounting the guide bar and chain
• Switch off the tool and remove the battery.
• Turn the wingnut (4) counterclockwise until the chain sprocket cover can be removed.
• Position the chain in the groove of the guide bar, starting at the tip. Make sure the arrows on
the tie straps points to the direction of chain movement. (Fig. 5 refers)
• Install the guide and the chain onto the tool as illustrated in Fig. 6. Make sure:
- the chain links are seated in the teeth of chain sprocket;
- the collar stud is fit into the guide bar slot; and
- the pin is protruded into the guide bar hole.
